What We Can Achieve Together
Use Tech Stacks to step up your manufacturing business technology
Manufacturing technologies organized into tech stacks replace piecemeal systems with a holistic portfolio that improves staff productivity, drives the most important revenue goals, maximizes software investments and future-proofs technology decisions
Use manufacturing growth apps to accelerate company revenues
The Business Growth Report revealed that manufacturers who applied the same rigor to front office applications as back office or production systems achieved 13% higher revenue per employee, 17.5% higher annual revenue growth and 21% higher EBIT margins
Use Data & Analytics to create a sustainable competitive advantage
The research also found that the highest growth industrial companies applied data transformation, dashboards and predictive analytics to dramatically improve customer engagement and revenue growth – and achieve a sustainable competitive advantage
Manufacturing Business Technology Solutions
Building quality products is essential to survive but insufficient to thrive. Technology is also needed to expand the brand, empower partners, engage customers, deliver differentiated customer experiences and innovate – and do these things efficiently and at scale.
Research performed for the Business Growth Report found that the Best-in-Class manufacturers (i.e., the top 15%) used technology differently than their lower performing peers.
For example, the highest growth manufacturers applied technology strategy and rigor for both product development and business development. That was different from the Medians and Laggards who applied lean methods and technology automation for production operations but were much more haphazard with processes and systems for marketing, sales, partner channels, R&D and innovation.
Another difference was that 83% of the highest growth manufacturers leveraged platform technologies to accelerate revenue growth. That's a shared technology foundation that eliminates piecemeal systems, departmental data siloes, fragmented customer experiences, clumsy departmental handoffs, and disjointed analytics.
And their technology strategy paid off. Over the prior three-year period, the Best-in-Class manufacturers invested 5.5% more in technology than the combined average of Medians and Laggards, but achieved 13% higher labor productivity, 17.5% higher annual revenue growth and 21% higher EBIT margins.
Manufacturing Tech Stack
Growth technologies for manufacturers are most effective when organized in Manufacturing Tech Stacks. And the most effective tech stacks identify the mix of applications needed to acquire, grow and retain more customers.

A strategically designed tech stack replaces departmental or fragmented systems with a holistic and enterprise-wide software portfolio. It improves the user experience, lowers labor costs, automates cross departmental processes, and delivers real-time information to decision makers. It also maximizes software investments and future-proofs technology decisions.
A manufacturer tech stack creates a competitive advantage as it defines an overarching architecture that aligns manufacturing business technology with the customer journey and the company's business outcomes.
